Fund raising activities

Implementing a new model of children sponsorship activity (parainage):

In order to raise funds to realize their projects related to children and their community, our partner would like to diversify funds sources with the  aim is to equip children with the skills and resources they need during their childhood.  Our partner, strong from a long field-experience would finally like to have a direct contact with the sponsors. They wish to make the sponsorship their own activity, in order to avoid too many steps and intermediaries and facilitate the whole process. Mission objectives: to make our partner independent on the sponsorship activity, to develop another sponsorship model (maybe developing an income generating activity) and to find sponsors.

Training and doing funds raising for children development programs: Through this project initiated in April 2010, our partner wishes to provide basic education to rural poor tribal children : construction of school building, arrangement of furniture for 50 school children and 2 teachers, conduct regular classes (Bengali, English, Mathematics, drawing, singing, dancing and physical education by the teachers. 50 boys and girls are directly benefiting from these. The target is to reach 500 families. One of the volunteering mission objectives is to permit the organization to raise more funding now and in the future in order to sustain and strengthen the activities and projects of the organization and to secure the continuity of the long-lasting development programs.

Training and doing funds raising for Production of Silk, Cotton and Woolen Scarves: Initiated in 2001, this project is aimed at empowering women economically. In this objective, our partner provides the following services to the women: *Organizing them in the form of self-help groups; *Help to arrange financial assistance for their production unit; *Provide marketing and design assistance. So far, the project benefits to 120 women, and the target is to reach 3.500 families. One of the volunteering mission objectives is to permit the organization to raise more funding now and in the future; * In this case to raise funding to start skills’ up gradation training for Production of Silk, Cotton and Woolen Scarves, and for Fabrics Project; * To permit the expansion of a long-lasting development programs.
